Hae's Bakery & Coffee Shoppe is an asian bakery in Springfield, Illinois. It is listed at 917 W Jefferson St, Springfield, IL 62702, which places it among the local businesses of Springfield that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Springfield. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in Illinois are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 5:30 am–7 pm. Springfield is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Springfield follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

First time coming here and I am definitely coming back! The building is super clean and has a great vibe. The customer service was amazing—they were very happy to help me out since it was my first time in. On top of that, their biscuits and gravy are absolutely amazing! If you're in the Springfield area, you've got to check this place out.

I have to say, in a town with a few notable coffee shoppes Hae’s stands out. Good service. Nice atmosphere inside and out. Seem to give special treatment to first responders, which is a plus in my eyes and they keep a clean store at all times. Coffee is really good. Not sure about the other items. But based on the line every morning, I would take a good guess that the food is good, as well. Love their coffee truck downtown. Right near our office.

I have to be honest—this place was frustrating. From the outside (and even the inside), this coffee shop is beautiful. You can tell real money, time, and intention went into creating a modern, stylish space. The aesthetic is there. The equipment is there. Everything looks like it should deliver an amazing experience. But unfortunately, the service and execution just didn’t match. When I walked in, my order was taken fine—but the overall environment felt off. The staff, who seemed very young and inexperienced, were openly gossiping about work instead of focusing on customers. There wasn’t a sense of structure, teamwork, or pride in what they were doing. It felt disorganized, like everyone was just getting through their shift rather than actually owning their role. Coming from Chicago, where coffee shops tend to run efficiently and with strong teamwork, the difference was noticeable. There, you feel the energy—people moving with purpose, supporting each other, and taking pride in the craft. Here, that was missing. What disappointed me most is the disconnect. This is clearly a place that someone invested in heavily—beautiful design, great equipment, strong potential. But without

Good coffee in this area! I loved the modern concept of this coffee place and drive thru. The drive thru did take a while but the coffee was worth the try especially while on our roadtrip. I enjoyed it!😊

July 6, 2025 - (4.5 ⭐'s) My first visit to Hae's Bakery & Coffee Shoppe. Overall it was a pleasing experience. My wife and I agreed our food was quite good. We shared a breakfast burrito and a egg/cheese/cheese breakfast sandwich on wheat. The staff was friendly. Our order was quickly prepared and delivered. The food was the right temperature. My cortado was decent, but a little too dark. I suspect the beans had been roasted some time ago. I look forward to a return visit. I want to try the red eye and London Fog tea. 4.5 ⭐'s.
